Pure Mathematics (Advanced Level)
- Develop studentsˇ¦ understanding of basic mathematical concepts.
- Extend studentsˇ¦ mathematical skill in problem solving.
- Further develop studentsˇ¦ ability to use basic logical pattern and conventions of reasoning.
- Design for students intending to continue their studies in science, engineering and technology.
HKAL Examination
- There are 2 papers each of 3 hours.
- Paper I is mainly on Algebra and paper II is mainly on Calculus and Coordinate Geometry.
- There are 2 sections in each paper:
- Section A consists of around 8 compulsory short questions.
- Section B allows the candidates to answer 4 out of 6 long questions.
Requirements
- Show interest in mathematics.
- Good logical thinking.
- Good result in HKCEE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.
