Arrangements for the New S1 Orientation Programme

Owing  to the recent change in the outbreak of Covid-19, the New S1  Orientation Programme, which will be held at the School Hall, scheduled  for 11 July will be postponed to 2-4 pm on 8 August (Saturday). Congratulations and best wishes were given to our graduates of 2018-19 by honourable guests, teachers, parents and friends as they embarked a new journey of their life.

On St Paul’s Feast Day, we celebrated the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. Rev. Aloysius Mak preached us his spirit of love, sacrifice and perseverance.

We share our love and wish one another a joyful and fulfilling new year at Christmas. 

Sports Day is a biennial event organized alternatively with the Swimming Gala to arouse our students’ interest and let them unleash their potential in sports. The event also fosters team spirit, encourages the pursuit for excellence, and more importantly reminds every one – athletes, student officials, cheering teams and audience – the importance of integrity, professionalism and sportsmanship.

English Activity Day was held annually. This year, we were very honoured to have invited Ms Tanya Kempston, Lecturer of the Faculty of Education of the University of Hong Kong, to be the adjudicator. Ms Kempston’s valuable advice helped our students better prepare for the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. All the participants shared their fruits of hard work and had an enjoyable morning.

At the Annual General Meeting (AGM), a report was made on the work of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in 2018-19 and its plan for 2019-20, which was followed by the inauguration ceremony of the PTA Execution Committee 2019-20 as well as the talk on ‘Family Conflicts: Causes and Resolution’ by Dr KY Chong. Interested parents also joined the S1 Parents’ Gathering to have interflow with our teachers before the AGM.

A mass aims at letting students to experience different liturgies at a mass, ranging from the Bible and Gospel reading, the Eucharist and an exchange of peace. This is to encourage our students to learn important Catholic values such as love and perseverance, so that they will have greater confidence when facing challenges in the new academic year.
